About Me

I know, Yosemite isn't exactly in the Pacific Northwest, but it's one of my favorite national parks to visit, as it probably is for many who have visited the park.

The reason I started the blog is to hopefully inform readers about many of the great outdoor recreation activities through my experiences. Whether you've lived in the Pacific Northwest all your life or are a recent transplant or visiting the region, I hope that you will find valuable information in my posts.

 

So, who am I? Well for starters, my name is Radford Bean. I grew up in New England where I developed my love for the outdoors and outdoor recreation. That love would first lead me to a degree in wildlife biology. Three decades later, I decided to return to college to earn a second degree in outdoor recreation management from Oregon State University. I have over 55 years of recreating in the outdoors, 41 years of it in the Pacific Northwest.
