New Dock to Replace Current One at Timber Park
Portland General Electric has taken delivery of a new 60' aluminum dock to replace the current dock at Timber Park on Estacada Lake. The dock features a cradle that will help stabilize canoes and kayaks while paddlers climb into their boats. The dock next to the cradle is also recessed six inches and has handrails to assist the paddlers in and out of their boats. While seasoned paddlers won't need to use the cradle or handrails, the cradle will be extremely useful to new paddlers and the disabled. Even people trying out their new boat for the first time may fine the cradle helpful. NAPS will work with PGE to modify the dock to make it easier for wheelchair-bound paddlers to get into their boats.
